So, this particular word brings to mind another word
for me. Awkward. For some strange reason I was not
blessed with natural rhythm. I can sing you some
beautiful stuff all day but if asked to dance to it,
forget it. I always felt like I could booty dance. You
know, 9th grade L.L. Cool J and your friends, I could
dance then right? hmm. Well, if I could then I lost it
somewhere down the line. Along with actually wanting
to get out there and do it. I don't dance cause I don't
want to. At least that's what I tell myself. Why miss
out on the interaction? So, I am sitting aside my
embarrassment about looking weird in hopes of
actually enjoying the act of dancing. It sure wouldn't
help to be able to dance to my own songs either.
The first step: Find A lovely instructer who is really
patient. I didn't tape the whole hour session but I
did get a overview of each move and what it looks like
when executed.......
properly that is.
Girl... I can just SEE you doing this...lol... Dancing isn't for everyone, it's a form of artistic expression, just like singing... There's not "good dancing" or bad... just what you like...
ReplyDeleteThis girl is cuteeeeeee!!! I like her... but trust if you did this in SOMEPLACES you'd look retarded... she's doing like a middle eastern, belly dancing thing... I know beasue of the hip pushing my favorite move...
Don't feel bad that you don't think you can dance...... whatever you DO do is great. (and I don't remember you not being able to dance, honestly)
Love you...
